There was a rumor that the underappreciated son Nansen Field in the Field family was so cranky and batty that he drove some of the servants crazy. Jennifer Green, who wanted to have a family, married into the Field family in place of her elder sister and warmed Nansen's frozen heart. Until one day, when Jennifer drank a glass of wine drugged by someone, the business legend Nick Finger, forcefully took her away. Inside the suite, Jennifer struggled fiercely, "Get off me! Nick Finger! My husband will kill you!” Nick whispered Jennifer’s nickname in her ears that only Nansen knew. Who is he? The Poor Nansen Field? Or the king of the business world Nick Finger?

Chapter 1 I will marry Nansen Field

Sitting in the kitchen, Jennifer Green checked the medicinal herbs on the pot from time to time while reading a book.

The love story depicted in the book made Jennifer feel warm inside.

She hoped that one day she would meet someone with whom she could start a family so that she would no longer be alone and homeless.

"What?! I am going to marry that disfigured piece of crap? Are you kidding me?! I won't marry him! Never!"

In the living room, her elder sister Jessica Green shouted angrily and almost overturned the roof of the villa.

Jennifer was startled and looked at the living room.

Her father's face turned red with anger, "Then who would marry him? If possible, I would do that, but he's not gay. The Fields is one of the richest and most powerful families. Women who want to marry into The Field are lining up! If Nansen Field hadn't been disfigured, do you think you would have this chance to marry him?! "

Jessica's mother, Julie Green, hugged Jessica who was crying angrily, and her red eyes stared at Mr. Green, "No matter how rich the Field family is, Nansen Field is not valued by his family at all! He is a cranky and batty man. Don't you know even his servants can't stand him? Jessica is my daughter and I love her. If you force her to marry Nansen Field, I am going to kill myself!"

When Mr. Green looked at his wife and his elder daughter who were crying in each other's embrace, the anger in his heart was replaced by frustration.

He rubbed his face with his hands and sat down, "Do you think I am willing to let Jessica marry into the Field family? The Field said that only if my daughter married into their family, they would cooperate with our company! Now our company has a problem, if Jessica doesn't marry Nansen Field, we will lose everything!"

Jessica disengaged herself from Julie and said, "Jennifer can marry him! She is your daughter too. Why should I marry an incapable person and she enjoys her happy life in our family?"

Jessica thought it was very feasible for Jennifer to marry Nansen Field so she rushed into the kitchen and gripped Jennifer's wrist, saying maliciously, "Jennifer, originally you don't belong to my family. My mother is generous enough to let you grow up in the Greens! It's time for you to pay us back!"

Jennifer's eyes widened with fear, "Jessica... Jessica."

But Jessica ignored her, and pulled her out of the kitchen.

"Dad! Mom! Let Jennifer marry Nansen Field! Jennifer looks pure and innocent, so Nansen Field might like her! What's more, Jennifer has a better temper and is used to serving people so she is a more suitable wife than I am!"

Mr. Green and Julie looked at Jennifer.

They saw this little girl standing there timidly and her face was full of fear.

It was true that Jennifer had a beautiful baby face, and she was an obedient girl at first glance.

Compared with Jessica's outgoing character, Jennifer was more likely to be accepted by the Fields.

Moreover, Jennifer was the illegitimate daughter of Mr. Green, and Nansen Field was the underappreciated son of Mr. Field who was disfigured in a big fire...

Now Nansen Field's uncle took the charge of the Fields, and he wanted to choose a wife for him. He might be more likely to choose a humble one instead of a lady from a well-bred family to let Nansen Field have something to rely on.

"Jennifer, are you willing to marry into the Fields?" Mr. Green asked.

Mr. Green felt guilty for Jennifer's mother because it was he who hid the fact that he was married with Jennifer's mother. When Jennifer's mother knew the truth, she committed suicide by jumping into the sea.

"Jennifer," Julie stood by Jennifer's side and held her hand, "Over the past several years, I have been treating you well. Even if you are not my child, I still accept you and raise you! At present, since our family has difficulties, can you help us?"

Jennifer bit her lips, and her face turned pale.

She was a little girl just like Jessica, and she had expectations for true love, but now she was told to marry someone she didn't even know. She now was very confused.

"Jennifer, as long as you are willing to marry into the Fields, I will afford your uncle's operation and I will let his child work in our company." Julie held Jennifer's hand tightly.

Jessica crossed her arms and said in a tone of disgust, "You can think about it. Your poor uncle has cancer and he is a poor cripple. His wife has no job and can't support her family. What's more, his child is struggling to get a job! If We let them work in our company, They will have a much better life! Don't you care about your uncle's family?"

Jennifer lifted her head with watering eyes. She said firmly but with grief, "I will marry Nansen Field!"
