There are two craziest things that Sylvia has ever done in her life.

One is betting her life on an underground racing to save someone from losing everything.

Another is gouging her heart out and showing it to someone.

Interestingly, the two 'someone' turned out to be the same one.

Chapter 1.How's drowning feeling?

A flash of lightning ripped the cloudy night sky, and the following crash of thunder trembled Sylvia violently.

However, there was something more frightening--a pair of beast-like eyes--in front of her.

"Three years is such a long time."

Lucien Evans's voice was flat and slow, yet full of bone-biting coldness: "I almost forget you are my fiancee."

"But I am still glad that you are willing to come back after messing around for so long."

Sylvia wanted to say it was him that forced her to come back and she did not mess around as he thought, so she forced herself to calm down and raised her head: "Brother Cien..."

"Don't you dare call me like this!"

Lucien mercilessly interrupted Sylvia.

To vent his anger, he rudely reached out and gripped her shoulder.

Sylvia had to bite her lips to bear the crushing pain, but the stubbornness in her teary eyes did not show the slightest hint of fading.

"What's that look on your face?"

Lucien was outraged by Sylvia's expression.

He furiously pushed her and did not stop until pressing her on the French Window: "Do you think such a clumsy disguise can fool me again? I have seen through your ruthless nature under the vulnerable face!"

Leaving Sylvia no time to explain, Lucien rudely turned her around and tore her dress off.

"No!"

Desperately Sylvia screamed and resisted, but the man did not spare her any mercy.

Lucien madly moved forward and backward, punishing her like how he has been imagining with red eyes countless times.

"You will not! I will make you feel ten times the pain I suffer from what you have done!"

"This is not only for me but also for those who died because of you!"

The cruel words in Sylvia's ears sank her heart horribly.

She wanted to yell for help, but the fear of exposing her nude body and the surging sense of humiliation in her chest made her unable to utter a word.

Without any sign, the man suddenly stopped his crazy deeds.

The abrupt change threw Sylvia off balance.

She powerlessly slumped onto the floor, like a ragged doll thrown aside.

Too exhausted to stand up, she reluctantly raised her head and looked at the man that she has been in love with since 14.

"Lucien...You will regret this..."

"Really?"

Lucien, who was buckling his button, paused for a second when hearing the words.

As if hearing a hilarious joke, he sneered with disdain and condescendingly looked down at Sylvia like a king on his throne: "Then I'm afraid that I will regret many more times."

Sylvia violently shuddered at his cold tone.

Before she could react, the man had walked over and grabbed her hair, and rudely dragged her into the bathroom.

A bathtub filled with water kept enlarging in Sylvia's sight.

And only when her head was pressed into it did she realize what the man was going to do.

The suffocation was so horrible that Sylvia could not help struggling, but the hand on her head remained motionless like a mountain.

A taste of blood soon welled up and filled Sylvia's throat.

When she was about to lose consciousness, Lucien suddenly let her out.

She instinctively raised her head and violently gasped for breath, greedily gulping the long-missed oxygen.

"How's drowning feeling?"

As she was coughing painfully, the familiar voice came to her ears again.

"Please don't..."

She pleaded for mercy, yet Lucien's response was grabbing her hair and sinking her head into the water again.

This process was repeated several times.

When Sylvia thought that she would probably die here tonight, Lucien unexpectedly stopped and forced her to face him.

"Is this all you got?"

He gnashed his teeth and moaned through clenched teeth: "Phoebe must have suffered thousands of times more than this when sinking into the river!"

Phoebe?

A thrill ran all over Sylvia from her head to foot.
